1. Why did l study Engineering?
I chose to study engineering because I was good at mathematics, physics, and chemistry but more than that, I’ve always been fascinated by how things work beneath the surface. Engineering gives me the opportunity to solve real-world problems and create practical solutions that can improve lives. There’s something incredibly rewarding about taking a complex challenge, breaking it down, and finding a way to make it better, stronger, or more efficient.
2. What do l love about Engineering and working at One Eighty?
What I love most about working at One Eighty is the purpose behind the work. Whether it’s materials analysis, corrosion testing, or oil diagnostics, it’s all part of something bigger helping our clients make smarter, more sustainable decisions. Although I’m relatively new to the company, what immediately drew me in was the culture of excellence. It’s rare to find a place where technical rigour is paired with a deeply rooted “why,” and that’s exactly what One Eighty offers.
The Africa expansion vision excites me because it’s about legacy, it’s about empowering industries across the continent to rise to global standards, supported by local expertise. For me, it’s a meaningful opportunity to contribute to sustainable development and innovation in places that matter to me both personally and professionally.
3. What is your word for the year?
My word for the year is collaboration. I chose it because l believe team work will help my colleagues and l to grow with intention and produce excellence.
4. What do you do for fun on the weekend?
Outside of work, I’m a fairly new mom, and most of my free time is joyfully spent with family and friends cooking, playing, and enjoying the simple moments together. It keeps me grounded and reminds me that behind every professional, there’s a person.
