EXPOSURE TESTING

UV Exposure

UV exposure tests can be conducted on various paints, coatings, composites and polymers to determine the UV resistance of the material tested. This is a form of accelerated testing.

Corrosion Simulation

Various materials can be exposed to acidic or basic environments at temperatures up to 98°C to test the material’s behaviour in such environments. Examples of acidic environments include but are not limited to industrial cleaning chemicals such as peracetic acid, mining environments and the beverage and food industry. Examples of basic environments include but are not limited to soaps and cleaning products.

Salt Spray testing

Salt spray testing tests the behaviour of materials in a saline environment such as a marine environment.

Accelerated Aging

The goal of accelerated aging test is to simulate real-time aging. This gives information on the life expectancy of a material and the properties thereof as the material ages.
