On the 29th of February 2020 it was announced in the African Mining Brief that Angola launches the LIFUA-A project in Cabinda. Algoa Cabinda were involved in the project which consist of the building of oil platforms. The end user is CABCOG (Cabinda Gulf Oil Company) which is the local entity of Chevron.
The Lifua field is planned to be developed in stages and Lifua “A” was to be developed first and consist of unmanned STS wellhead platform complete with ten wells, arranged via eight conductors, six producing wells, and four water injection wells. Algoa Cabinda are extensively involved in the fabrication requirements for this project. Algoa have been providing services since 1971 supplying construction, machining, maintenance, plant services, turnaround and speciality services. Algoa pride themselves fostering a culture of innovation, solving challenges, and crafting solutions for their clients.
One Eighty assisted Algoa Cabinda with an extensive list and range of weld procedure qualification records (WPQR) completed in batches between March 2021 to July 2021. One Eighty Materials Testing is a world class metallurgical and materials testing, and consulting business based in Cape Town South Africa and accredited to ISO 17025:2017 for over 15 test methods relevant to the oil and gas fabrication sector.
