Hulett Aluminium One Eighty is currently completing a set of tests on one of Hulett Aluminium products to demonstrate that the performance of the alloy is sufficient for the intended application. Denel South Africa One Eighty is currently assisting with the development of a new product range for Denel. This requires a thorough investigation of the processing response of the material so that the quality of the final product can be optimised. Southern Medical One Eighty has successfully developed a finishing process for the Kineflex spinal disc (which already has FDA approval for clinical trials in the USA). TI-TAMED (PTY) LTD The company designs, develops and manufactures spinal screws for spinal fixation. One Eighty assisted in the development of a testing device for the mechanical testing of spinal constructs. DISA VASCULAR (PTY) LTD The company designs, develops and manufactures coronary and peripheral stents indicated for stenosis of vital arteries. One Eighty is currently assisting DISA Vascular in the development of a new stent which will be manufactured from an alternative material to that which is currently used. Spinal Motion The company manufactures the Kineflex, a spinal disc invented by Malan De Villiers of Southern Medical. We have helped them with the testing required for their discs. Medtronic The company is based in the United States of America in Memphis and Minneapolis but has subsidiary offices all over the world. Medtronic manufacture medical devices in for cardiovascular applications, ear nose and throat applications and spinal intervention. 6° of Freedom, a subsidiary of One Eighty assists the spinal intervention division with tests on new devices. Aesculap The company is based in Tuttlingen Germany an manufactures orthopaedic implants and surgical instruments. 6° of Freedom, a subsidiary of One Eighty have assisted Aesculap with the tests required for one of their new spinal products.
